Project Description
As part of an effort to revitalize the downtown Harvey area, a new station was designed to replace the existing decaying gatehouse. The building’s overall function was improved by realigning the station entrance and improving passenger flow through the depot. The station is partially located within an underpass area, which introduced challenging architectural and engineering issues. The scope of our services included architectural, structural, mechanical HVAC, electrical and plumbing engineering design and construction observation services. In addition, structural investigation and analysis was performed for the 500 foot long sheet pile retaining wall.
